Very fresh figs, no wrinkles ;)
I'm awed by your background...I really like the texture and colors. The colors in your figs and background really solidifies your painting.
The background was done in three layers: a light black (thinner) then an olive green under the diagonal upper left to lover right and then, when almost dry a little red-orange in the left upper corner and ultramarine blue in the center. And last but not least the texture with a hard haired brush ;)
I agree with Pat. Your background is real killer. It goes very well with the chosen fig colors and provides a beautiful contrast.
In terms of what could be different, a few areas come to my mind. Figs - highlights are significantly darker than reflected lights. It should be the opposite. Table surface is somehow plain. It is interesting how you achieved to put all focus on the background and make a viewer pass by the table and figs as if they are not important at all.

What a beautiful background and table. I do think the shape of the figs are right on but My eye does seem to look right past and even to the table instead of want to explore more about the figs. I think more highlights would pull the attention to where it should be. The composition placement is good and can I say again what a beautiful background.

Yes that's it. The first two figs are out of focus and the middleground one get more details and so the eyes path is towards the background.
